The A.M. “Chick” Anderson Park is located in the southeastern portion of the city on FM 524. The park features:
- Gazebo — built in 1989 by community volunteers as a nostalgic reminder of the past. In 1910, Sweeny was very busy farming and railroad town. There had been a gazebo on an island in the river near the railroad when real estate developers were bringing prospects in from Houston.
