The City of Sweeny provides natural gas and water/wastewater management services to residents inside the City of Sweeny.
HOW TO… TURN ON OR TRANSFER UTILITY SERVICE —
To turn on or transfer a city utility (natural gas, water/wastewater management services), you must appear in person at City Hall with a valid photo ID. City Hall is located at 102 W. Ashley Wilson Road, Sweeny. Please contact City Hall if further information is needed at 979 548 3321.
A deposit and connection fee is required to turn on or transfer a utility service. Deposit and turn-on/transfer fees must be paid by cash, check, or money order. For a full comprehensive fee schedule please see below:

HOW TO… MAKE PAYMENTS —
Payments for city utilities are due at City Hall by the 15th of each month. There will be a 10% late charge if payment is received after the 15th.

HOW TO… AVOID TURN-OFF OR CANCELLATION OF SERVICE —
Utility services will be turned-off by the City for non-payment or for tampering with utility services. To avoid turn-off or cancellation of service, payments must be received by the due date (or other arrangements must be made with City Hall). See below for updated policies and procedures regarding utility turn-off:
